PrivacyPolicy.

What we collect when you use this site or send an inquiry, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to this website only; work we do for you is covered by its own contract.

Who we are and what this covers

This policy explains how Tick Tech Toe (“we”, “us”), in India, handles personal information collected through ticktechtoe.in (the “site”). Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) we are the Data Fiduciary. You can reach us at [email protected].

This policy applies only to your use of this website, including an inquiry you send through it. It does not cover the work we do for clients. That work is under a separate written contract, which sets out what information the project needs and how we handle it, and the client’s own privacy notice covers their customers.

02

What we collect

What you give us. When you use our inquiry form (the “Let’s talk” form, which is also on our Contact page) we collect:

  • your name, email address and phone number (with country code)
  • your organisation, if you give one (optional)
  • the message you write
  • which plan or option you were looking at when you opened the form, if any

If you email us directly, we keep your email address and what you send.

What is collected automatically. Our hosting provider and our content delivery network record technical details of every request: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, and the date and time. This is how the site is delivered, kept secure and fixed when it breaks.

Why your IP address is logged. It is logged for security. Together with the other request details, it lets these providers tell a human visitor from a bot, spot and block spam, scraping and attacks (such as a flood of requests, or repeated attempts to abuse the inquiry form), and limit how often one address can use the site. We use it for that and nothing else: we do not use it to identify you, to build a profile of you, or for advertising. These logs are kept by those providers under their own retention practices, and we do not link them to the details you give us in the form.

What we do not collect. At the time of writing the site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and has no accounts or logins. We do not ask for sensitive personal data (health, financial account, government ID, biometric or similar) and ask that you do not send it. The theme switch, the cookie notice, the footer game and the marks you can make in the “Who it’s for” section run in your browser and send nothing to us. So does the “Your Time” clock in the footer: your browser reads the time from your own device’s clock and shows it to you. It is never sent to us, and only you can see it.

03

How we use it

  • To reply to your inquiry and talk about working together. We use your phone number for this too. Our basis is your consent, given when you send the form.
  • To email you from time to time about our work, services and ideas we think may interest you. We keep these occasional and relevant, we do not send junk, and every one can be stopped (see Your choices and requests).
  • To keep the site working and secure, and to prevent spam and abuse.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records, and to keep a record that supports an audit or a dispute.

We do not make decisions about you by automated means, and we do not sell your personal information or hand it to others for their own marketing.

At present we do not use AI tools to process what you send us, and it is not used to train any AI model. Services we rely on, such as email, may add AI features of their own over time; if that changes how your information is handled, we update this policy. Our AI Disclosure explains how we use AI.

Cookies, local storage and similar

The site sets no cookies of its own. It stores two items in your browser’s local storage: ttt-theme, which remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme, and ttt-cookie-ok, which remembers that you clicked OK on the cookie notice, so it stops appearing. Both stay on your device and are never sent to us. The same goes for the “Your Time” clock in the footer, which is worked out in your browser from your device’s clock and is never sent or stored anywhere else.

Our content delivery network (Cloudflare) and our host may set strictly necessary cookies of their own, for security and to tell people from bots. Because everything in use is strictly necessary, the site shows no cookie banner.

We may add or change tools on this site as we grow, such as analytics, advertising pixels, chat or scheduling. When we do, we will update this page and list them here, so please check back from time to time for the current position.

05

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the providers that run the site and our mailbox, and only as far as they need it:

  • HostGator, our web host, which also hosts the mailbox that receives your inquiry.
  • Cloudflare, which provides our DNS, content delivery and security. Your requests pass through its network.
  • Google Fonts, from which your browser loads our typefaces. Google receives your IP address and browser details when it does.
  • unpkg and cdnjs, which serve the icon libraries the page uses, and instant.page, which serves a small script that loads pages faster. Each receives your IP address and browser details when your browser fetches the file.

Some of these run networks in several countries, so your information may be processed outside India. We may also disclose it where the law or a court requires, to our professional advisers under a duty of confidence, or to a successor if the business is transferred, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

06

How long we keep it, and deletion

Inquiry data is what you give us when you send the form or email us. We keep it for as long as necessary for the purposes in this policy, for audits, to meet legal obligations and to resolve disputes, and we may use it to get in touch with you from time to time. We may also delete inquiry data periodically, once we no longer need it for those purposes. We do not fix a schedule or a period for this in advance. If we no longer hold your data when you ask about it, that is because we have already deleted it in this way.

This is separate from the information we need when we do a project for you. That is covered by a separate contract between us, not by this policy.

You can ask for deletion by emailing [email protected] with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. We will delete or anonymise your inquiry data within a reasonable time, except what we need to keep for audits, legal obligations or a dispute. Server and security logs are kept by our host and network provider for the short periods set in their own terms. Your theme choice stays until you clear your browser’s storage.

07

Your choices and requests

Under the DPDP Act you can: ask for a summary of the personal data we hold and how we process it; have it corrected, completed or updated; have it erased when it is no longer needed; withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect what we did before); have a grievance addressed; and nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or cannot act for yourself.

To use them, email [email protected] and put one of these in the subject line, so that we find it quickly:

  • “Data Deletion Request”: to have your inquiry data deleted
  • “Unsubscribe”: to stop emails from us
  • “Privacy Request”: for anything else about your information, such as seeing or correcting it
  • “Grievance”: to make a complaint

We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act, and we reply within a reasonable time.

08

Security and breaches

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. The site is served over HTTPS; the form checks what it receives and stores nothing on the server, only sending an email; and access to the mailbox is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that it is. If a breach affecting your personal information happens, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

09

Children

The site is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think we have, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

10

Grievances and complaints

Please raise any concern about your personal information with us first. Our Grievance Officer can be reached at [email protected] with the subject line “Grievance”. We aim to acknowledge a complaint within 3 working days and to resolve it within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India, once you have first used this process, as the DPDP Act provides.
